Some jobs are just personal. We had been driving past this beautiful old 2-story home for months - noticing the moss building up across the shingles, knowing exactly what it needed. It took a while, but the call finally came in. And honestly, it was one of the most satisfying jobs we have done.

Here is what we were working with: a large, older home with multiple roof planes, steep sections, and big exposure on all sides. The moss coverage was heavy in spots - thick enough that you could clearly see it packed into the shingle joints along the lower sections and eaves. Left alone, that kind of growth starts lifting shingle edges, trapping moisture, and quietly shortening the life of your roof. It is a slow problem that most people do not think about until it is already causing damage.

Steep roofs like this one require more than just showing up with a brush. We anchored in at three separate points around the house to safely cover every section. That is not an unusual approach for us - it is just what proper safety looks like on a complex roof. Working roped and anchored means we can take our time and do the job right without rushing because of footing concerns.

We completed a full moss removal and treatment across the entire roof. The removal gets the visible growth off. The treatment is what keeps it from coming right back - it works into the surface and knocks out the spores that would otherwise start the cycle all over again. Both steps matter. Skipping the treatment is like pulling weeds without getting the roots.

Jobs like this one are a good reminder of why we do this work. We live and work in this community. When we clean a roof, we are taking care of a neighbor's home - and that means something to us. Every customer who trusts us with their home gets our full attention, no shortcuts, no rushing through it.
