Pine trees are beautiful until you look up at your roof. The needles pile up fast - especially in the valleys and low spots where water already wants to sit. That buildup holds moisture against your shingles, and that moisture is exactly what leads to moss, rot, and premature wear. It's a slow problem that most homeowners don't notice until it's already done some damage.

On this job, we were dealing with a heavy layer of pine needles and debris packed across multiple roof sections, including a flat membrane area. The flat section had a solid mat of needles sitting on it - the kind of buildup that traps standing water with nowhere to go. We cleared everything off and got the surface back to where it needed to be so the roof can actually drain and breathe the way it's supposed to.

Once the roof was clean, we moved on to the Minleon permanent LED install along the roofline. Minleon is one of the better systems out there - the fixtures mount clean and tight to the fascia, and the wiring tucks away so you're not looking at a mess of cords. The result is a roofline that looks sharp during the day and lights up exactly how you want it at night. No staples, no damage to your shingles, no putting them up and taking them down every season.

That's really the appeal of a permanent install. You set it up once, dial in your colors and schedules through the app, and you're done. Whether you want subtle accent lighting year-round or want to go all out for the holidays, it's ready when you are. It's the kind of upgrade that adds a lot of visual impact without a ton of ongoing effort.

Two very different services - but they go together well on a job like this. A clean roof protects your investment from the bottom up, and a solid LED system adds curb appeal that works day and night. If your roof is sitting under a bunch of trees and hasn't been looked at in a while, it's worth getting eyes on it sooner rather than later.
