Don't let a smaller home fool you - a steep pitch makes any job more involved than it looks. That's exactly what we were working with here. Heavily covered shingles, a sharp slope, and organic debris scattered all the way across the roof surface. Not the kind of thing you want to ignore.

Moss does real damage over time. It gets underneath shingles, holds moisture against the roof deck, and slowly breaks down the materials that are supposed to be protecting your home. Left alone long enough, what starts as a surface issue turns into a much more expensive conversation.

We came in, pulled all the moss off by hand, and followed it up with a full treatment applied across the entire surface. The treatment is the part that matters most for the long haul - it keeps new growth from taking hold after we leave. Clean removal without the follow-up treatment is only solving half the problem.

Steep pitches take more time and care to work safely, but the job itself doesn't have to drag on all day. We got this one dialed in and buttoned up clean. The shingles underneath were in solid shape once everything was cleared off, which is always good to see.

Smaller homes with moss issues tend to get put on the back burner because they feel like a low priority. But the damage timeline is the same regardless of the square footage. If your roof has been collecting moss, it's worth getting it handled sooner rather than later.
